Jill's 10 years of experience in the fitness industry includes training as a Group Fitness Instructor, Personal Trainer, Lifestyle and Weight Management Consultant, Pre/Post Natal Trainer, Sports Nutritionist and Golf Conditioning Specialist. Her unsatiable curiousity and love of learning is shared with all who surrounds her as she strives to educate and motivate people towards healthier lifestyles.

The former gymnast's extensive fitness repertoire includes teaching Spin, Step, BOSU, stability ball training, circuit training and muscle conditioning. This experience, along with her own interest in dance, yoga, hiking and kayaking, makes for an eccentric training style that keeps bootcampers on their toes. Jill spends her spare time exploring New England, traveling, and training for Fitness Competitions. She recently placed 8th at the Figure Universe competition in Miami. Peter Lavelle - Co-Founder & Fitness Specialist

A native of Ireland, Peter has worked in the Sports and Fitness industry for several years as a fully certified Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor and has a certificate in Sports Nutrition. His energetic and entertaining training style keeps participants smiling as their bodies burn calories "like a furnace". As a Personal Trainer for Ultimate Bootcamp, Peter works with a variety of clients whose goals range from weight loss to increasing athletic ability and performance.

Peter's sporting interests include multi-sport events such as triathlons, as well as running marathons. His philosophy is: "We're not here for a long time - we're here for a good time."

Amy - Fitness Trainer

Amy is an AFAA certified group fitness instructor and lifelong athlete. She has been involved in team sports since youth, participating in field hockey, basketball and softball. Along with instructing Bootcamp she shares her enthusiasm for fitness, athletics and teamwork as a high school field hockey coach.

Professionally, Amy has spent 8 years in the television industry and currently is a Production Manager for sports telecasts in the New England area.

Casey - Fitness Trainer

After living in NYC for the past 10 years where she instructed boot camp classes in Central Park, Casey recently moved back to Boston. Casey is an NASM certified personal trainer, and more importantly has been a fitness enthusiast for years. Her love for fitness began in her youth with team sports, gymnastics and dance, and has continued with her career in theatre. Casey is an actress in musical theatre both regionally and nationally.

She is a regular at yoga and pilates, and enjoys other activities such as kickboxing, and watching the Red Sox play at Fenway! Most recently she extended her experience into individualized sports, such as road races and marathons. She has been a runner with New York Road Runners Club and has completed both the 2006 New York and 2008 Boston Marathons.

David - Fitness Trainer

David (or DK as he is known) is an ACE-certified Group Fitness Instructor, who began working with Ultimate Bootcamp in the fall of 2007. David is also a Certified Arthritis Foundation Exercise Instructor. In his second year of a physical therapy doctorate program at the MGH Institute of Health Professions, David hopes to work in the orthopedic sports field, specializing with the geriatric population, once he has graduated.

David graduated from Ithaca College in 1998 as a Division III all-American and 4-time state champion in the triple and high jumps. His fitness and athletic interests began in his backyard with kick ball and progressed through youth soccer and beyond to basketball, beach volleyball, football, cycling, running, and training.

David was drawn to UBC by the culture of enthusiasm, and the positivity that the participants and trainers bring to each class. These are virtues he aims to actively promote and develop with all the participants in his UBC classes.

Emily - Fitness Trainer

Emily is an AFAA certified group fitness instructor. Although listed as one of the smallest members of the UBC team her live-large attitude is infectious. As someone who played sports her whole life, including field hockey, gymnastics and lacrosse, she relishes in the concepts of team and personal achievement. Having competed in four Boston Marathons and several triathlons, Emily recognizes the importance in establishing ones personal goals. Her true passion is to help motivate others to recognize and achieve their own health and fitness objectives.

Emily’s most prized accomplishment is in being a mom to Sylvie Claire and Jack. When not changing diapers and making bottles she is the Director of New Business Development for CerconeBrownCurtis, advertising and PR agency in Boston, MA. She has worked with globally recognized brands in the areas of outdoor, lifestyle/fitness, finance and technology.

Erin - Fitness Trainer

Erin has been teaching group fitness classes for six years and is certified by AFAA, Power Pilates and Turbokick. In addition to UBC, Erin also teaches Pilates, Cardio Kickboxing and Muscle Conditioning at health clubs in the Boston area. She enjoys sharing her love for fitness with bootcampers, friends, family, co-workers and anyone who will listen!

She is the Assistant Manager at Lululemon athletica in Hingham. Erin is working on her Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology from Bridgewater State College. Her athletic interests include triathlons, road races, exploring the outdoors, yoga and trying anything new!

 
Heather - Fitness Trainer

Heather is an AFAA-certified group fitness instructor with a passion for fitness. She strongly believes that exercise must be fun and easily incorporated into one's lifestyle in order to be maintainable. She grew up in a family that considered the gym home and since a young age has made fitness a part of her life. A need for variety has led Heather to participate in several marathons and road races, triathlons, as well as diversifying her workouts at the gym with spin, Bosu, and muscle classes. Ultimate Bootcamp's mission for making exercise fun is the perfect match for Heather!

While Heather loves being a fitness instructor, she puts her business degree from Boston University to use as a tax analyst at an international biotech company. Ultimate Bootcamp has given her the ability to share her love of fitness and a healthy lifestyle with others while proving it doesn't have to be a chore to work out!

Jeanine - Fitness Trainer

Jeanine is an AFAA certified group exercise instructor who has been training for five years. She teaches at several fitness facilities, where she teaches cardio kickboxing, step, muscle conditioning, and of course, bootcamp. She has also shared her love of fitness with younger children, with whom she has taught dance to for several years.

In her spare time, she enjoys running and doing anything that pertains to exercise. Sharing her love of fitness is something that she enjoys greatly because "Getting into great shape and seeing and feeling positive results makes all of that hard work so worthwhile."

Jesse - Fitness Trainer
Jesse is an ACE certified group fitness instructor. In addition to working with Ultimate Bootcamp, he has also taught Spinning at multiple gyms over the last 4 years in Boston and St. Louis. Jesse is very excited to share his love of fitness with others while motivating & helping them reach their individual goals.

Professionally, Jesse is the Vice President of Franchise Sales & Marketing for Extra Innings, an indoor baseball & softball training center franchise. Outside of work, Jesse loves to stay active & on the go through running, kayaking, hiking, mountain biking & traveling when possible. He also enjoys spending time with his friends & family, reading, enjoying all that the city of Boston has to offer and rooting for the Red Sox, Patriots and his beloved Boston College Eagles.

John - Fitness Trainer

John is an AFAA certified group fitness instructor and life long sports enthusiast. In his youth, as a Yankees fan on Long Island (disclaimer: John's sport teams affiliations do not necessarily reflect the interests of UBC), he participated in team sports such as soccer, football, backyard bottle-ball wrestling and lacrosse. John went on to be a Division I athlete at Providence College and formed a passion for fitness as a way of life. Nowadays, you might see John, playing Wiffle Ball, still living the lacrosse dream or running as he trains for his next marathon or triathlon. John’s passion for encouraging and driving others to meet their fitness goals is not only contagious and delivered with a keen and witty sense of humor.

When morning boot camp is over, John and wife Emily get their daughter Sylvie ready for daycare while readying himself to act the part of a Sales and Marketing Account Executive. John travels the globe as an Instructor for IBM’s sales force to help people reach their true personal and professional potential.

Justine - Fitness Trainer

Justine is an AFAA-certified group fitness instructor and grew up in a family where exercise was valued and enjoyed. Influenced by a father who ran marathons and a mother who loved Jazzercise, she was always encouraged to be active. Pushed at a young age to be only one of two girls on an all boy soccer team, Justine learned early that you only become better by stretching yourself to do things that aren’t always comfortable. She also learned that exercise is a heck of lot more fun when you have the support, humor and encouragement of others!

In Justine’s everyday life she is busy taking care of her two boys, ages 4 and 2. It’s a job she puts first and foremost and enjoys every minute of it. Her days are filled with froggy jumps and the endless game of chase. Justine's husband says, and we agree, that she was born to be a boot camp instructor!

Kim B. - Fitness Trainer

Kim Barnes Jefferson is an ACSM Certified Personal Trainer. She has been active her entire life and became hooked on fitness in college, when she gained the dreaded freshman 15. Once she dropped the weight, Kim loved how great she felt after a good workout and how she was able to transform her body.

She is a national level figure/fitness competitor and was one of 90 women to qualify to compete in the first amateur event held at the 2007 Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic. Fitness and competing have taught Kim more about herself than she ever thought possible, Kim loves the feeling of setting a goal and then achieving it. She brings this same level of dedication to all aspects of her life. She helps her clients look inside themselves to find the motivation and self-discipline they need to achieve their goals. Kim’s goal this year is to complete a 2-minute fitness routine at National level fitness competition.

Kim is a Personal Trainer as well as a Marketing Manager for a chain of fitness centers in the greater Boston area. She is happily married and enjoys cooking, reading, playing golf and going vacations where she just lays by the pool.

 
Kim D. - Fitness Trainer

A lifelong sports, fitness and outdoors enthusiast – who perhaps missed her call as a Marine Corps. Drill instructor – Kim recently decided to pursue her passion for motivating groups full-time. She received her ACE personal training certification in 2007, and since that time has discovered that Bootcamp is where she belongs. She teaches health and fitness classes for both adults and children, encouraging participants to stretch beyond their perceived limits.

Her most rewarding moments are spent leading classes through driving rains, wind-driven snow, heavy sand and mud. When Kim is not teaching UBC classes, she’s encouraging new mommies to squeeze exercise into their daily routine and working one-on-one helping individuals achieve their personal goals. Among her proudest accomplishments are completing the Boston Marathon and a Half-Ironman triathlon in Narragansett, RI.

Her most important job is managing the schedules of her three independently minded and extremely busy children –ages 11, 9, and 2 –and a husband who, despite 20 years of dedicated service in the U.S. Army Reserves (including a one-year tour in Iraq), still can’t manage to find his belt.

During her free time, Kim plays softball, runs road races, helps organize events for her community center, and puts her culinary degree to work creating custom birthday cakes for some of the pickiest clients around – her friends’ kids. Oh, and she recently discovered the spiritual fulfillment of White Mountain peak-bagging – one down, 46 to go!

Rachel - Fitness Trainer

A native Californian and surf junkie, Rachel has always enjoyed an active lifestyle including dance and creative movement. She joined Ultimate Bootcamp in the Spring of 2007 as an AFAA certified instructor. Prior to receiving her certification, Rachel was your basic Bootcamp addict and participated in many sessions.

In her 9-5 existence, Rachel is an Account Exec at one of the nation's fastest growing independent public relations agencies. She works on some really cool consumer and technology accounts, which keeps her amazing brain in as good of shape as the rest of her. A natural motivator, Rachel challenges participants to achieve their best in every class, and above all, have a kickass good time.

Rebecca - Fitness Trainer

Rebecca is an ACE Certified Group Fitness Instructor. Her love for fitness began in her youth while participating in team sports such as soccer, field hockey and basketball, and has extended recently into individualized sports like marathons, triathlons and off-road races. She brings her love for sports and team camaraderie into her early-morning Bootcamp classes.

Professionally, Rebecca has served as a lead marketer for several national brands, including Volkswagen and GMC. Currently she's taking a hiatus from corporate America to pursue her love for travel. Fitness will be a focal point in her upcoming adventures, from hiking the Inca Trail and climbing Macchu Picchu in Peru to snowboarding in Colorado.

Sandi - Fitness Trainer

Fitness has always been a way of life for Sandi. A ballet, tap and jazz dancer since youth, she has combined her dual loves of dance and fitness in Jazzercise – as a student since 1983 and as a Certified Instructor since 1999. Sandi owns and manages the Newton Jazz Center. Sandi’s classes include aerobics, body sculpting, yoga and circuit training. Sandi’s interests have continued to broaden over the years to include running, Pilates and kickboxing which led her to Ultimate Bootcamp and an AFAA certification as a group instructor.

Sandi’s professional life as a licensed Realtor, Property Specialist and Accredited Buyer Representative keeps her running all over metro Boston. Her personal life rounds out her busy schedule enjoying time with her husband of 20+ years, two children and dog… Eddy.

Steve - Fitness Trainer

Steve is an AFAA certified personal trainer and ACE certified group exercise instructor who started teaching classes for Ultimate Bootcamp in the Fall of 2006. Prior to joining UBC he taught a 5-day/week outdoor bootcamp class for 3 years in the Northern Virginia area.

Steve graduated from RPI in Troy, NY with an Aeronautical Engineering degree in 1999. Steve left his career working on carrier aircraft and unmanned vehicles to pursue a more exciting calling working with people. He is currently in his second year as a physical therapy student at MGH Institute of Heath Professions. After he graduates he hopes to work with sports population and/or pediatrics. Steve played football at RPI, he has run three marathons in the last 5 years and played and coached co-ed softball and ultimate Frisbee while in Northern Virginia. He plays flag football, basketball and just about any sport you throw at him. In his spare time he sleeps.
