Justine
- Fitness Trainer
Justine is an AFAA-certified group fitness
instructor and grew up in a family where exercise was valued
and enjoyed. Influenced by a father who ran marathons and
a mother who loved Jazzercise, she was always encouraged
to be active. Pushed at a young age to be only one of two
girls on an all boy soccer team, Justine learned early that
you only become better by stretching yourself to do things
that aren’t always comfortable. She also learned that
exercise is a heck of lot more fun when you have the support,
humor and encouragement of others!
In Justine’s everyday life she is busy taking care
of her two boys, ages 4 and 2. It’s a job she puts
first and foremost and enjoys every minute of it. Her days
are filled with froggy jumps and the endless game of chase.
Justine's husband says, and we agree, that she was born
to be a boot camp instructor!
Kim B. - Fitness Trainer
Kim Barnes Jefferson is
an ACSM Certified Personal Trainer. She has been active
her entire life and became hooked on fitness in college,
when she gained the dreaded freshman 15. Once she dropped
the weight, Kim loved how great she felt after a good workout
and how she was able to transform her body.
She is a national level
figure/fitness competitor and was one of 90 women to qualify
to compete in the first amateur event held at the 2007 Arnold
Schwarzenegger Classic. Fitness and competing have taught
Kim more about herself than she ever thought possible, Kim
loves the feeling of setting a goal and then achieving it.
She brings this same level of dedication to all aspects
of her life. She helps her clients look inside themselves
to find the motivation and self-discipline they need to
achieve their goals. Kim’s goal this year is to complete
a 2-minute fitness routine at National level fitness competition.

as a Marine Corps. Drill instructor – Kim recently
decided to pursue her passion for motivating groups full-time.

2007, and since that time has discovered that Bootcamp is
where she belongs. She teaches health and fitness classes
for both adults and children, encouraging participants to
stretch beyond their perceived limits.
Her most rewarding moments are spent leading classes through
driving rains, wind-driven snow, heavy sand and mud. When
Kim is not teaching UBC classes, she’s encouraging
new mommies to squeeze exercise into their daily routine
and working one-on-one helping individuals achieve their
personal goals. Among her proudest accomplishments are completing
the Boston Marathon and a Half-Ironman triathlon in Narragansett,
RI.
Her most important job is managing the schedules of her
three independently minded and extremely busy children –ages
11, 9, and 2 –and a husband who, despite 20 years
of dedicated service in the U.S. Army Reserves (including
a one-year tour in Iraq), still can’t manage to find
his belt.
During her free time, Kim plays softball, runs road races,
helps organize events for her community center, and puts
her culinary degree to work creating custom birthday cakes
for some of the pickiest clients around – her friends’
kids. Oh, and she recently discovered the spiritual fulfillment
of White Mountain peak-bagging – one down, 46 to go!
